TEHRAN -- On Sunday, a group of people from martyrs and war veteran's families \ made a rally in front of the Imam Khomeini Judicial Complex and called on the Judiciary to punish those who use insulting words against Islam.

The protest follows a recent statement by Hashem Aghajari, a university teacher and member of the Islamic Revolution Mujahedin Organization (IRMO), who made blasphemous remarks Against Islam and Shiism in Hamedan University.

In this rally the Tehran Justice Department Chief Abass-Ali Alizadeh thanked the demonstrators' religious feelings over these blasphemous remarks and said the person who made such remarks has now found out what a great mistake he has made.

He said, fortunately, the Qom Seminary, people, Majlis deputies, and even the Islamic Revolution Mujahedeen Organization (IRMO), a front that Aghajari himself is member, have given the proper response to him and now he has come to the point that the people would not budge on their belief.

While stressing calm in the country in the present time situation Alizadeh assured the protestors that the Judiciary would do its task through a legal system.

The protestors dispersed the scene calmly after the speech by the Tehran Justice Department chief.
